A small village, a church, the olive mill and the silence of the colors….
Our home in the Italian countryside is the Locanda della Luna, a place where you can find ancient smells hanging in the air; take time to overlook the sea, vineyards, and olive orchards; and indulge in neverending tastes, born from ancient cooking traditions.
Piazzas that embrace your heart and soul, tempting you to linger over a fine espresso or complex merlot. Feel the kiss of the sun on the leaves of the fruit. Lose yourself watching the flight of a bird over the vineyard. Linger over the centuries-old murals of times past.
Spend a week indulging in La Dolce Vita ("the sweet life" or "the good life"). Your days will be filled with regional olive oils, pasta, the finest of wines, roman ruins, renaissance towns and the coastline of the Adriatic Sea.
Eat your way through the Emilia Romagna Region along the Adriatic Sea. Ragu, Ricotta, Parma, Tortellini, Lasagne Verde, Tagiatelle and Prosciutto de Parma tempt your taste buds as we explore a region rich in culinary delights. Tempt your palate with a variety of olives and fresh baked bread dipped in Balsamic vinegars (originally from this region) or spend the evening sipping local wines in a cobbled piazza.
Try your hand at pasta making. Surprise your friends with your refined taste in olive oil after an afternoon at a local olive press. Soak in the medieval history of the Byzantine town of Ravenna (a UNESCO World Heritage Site). Hike or bike through ancient medieval towns. Live like a local while staying at an agriturismo, a working estate that has opened its doors to visitors to enjoy life in bel paese (beautiful country).
