Day 1-5
Upon arrival to Denpassar, we travel to Ubud, the cultural heartbeat of Bali. Staying at a boutique hotel with Ubud’s premier museum on the grounds, we participate in the rich cultural heritage of Bali’s heart and soul. Ubud is a culture of its own…streets of shops, restaurants, warungs, artisans, ceremonies, temples, healers, and yoga. It is here that you can indulge in the latest of spa treatments (four handed), explore the monkey forest, watch the white herons roost at sunset, explore galleries, hike verdant rice fields, take a cooking class….the list can go on and on.
Day 5-7
Two delightful nights in a delightful resort nestled amongst the rice paddies. With a fantastic view of Mount Agung, Bali’s most sacred mountain, we have the opportunity to climb a volcano, mountain bike to rural villages and witness Bali’s balance, harmony and tranquility. Tour includes a morning hike through Bali’s infamous rice paddies! It is here that we witness the magic of Balinese textile weaving while feasting on meals prepared from food picked fresh that day.
Day 7-10
In Bali it is a MUST to indulge in some rest and relaxation. We journey to Sanur, one of Bali’s most tranquil beaches. This is the place to come for a real beach get away, quiet village life, seafood grills, and a reef teaming with aquatic life! As an extra bonus, we take a boat trip to Nusa Lemongan, a neighboring island. Here we splash down water slides, fill our bellies on buffets and whip around the turquoise sea on banana boats! And spend the night in thatched beachside huts. You can choose to participate in jungle tours, cooking classes, a diving course or simply lounge poolside with the book you've aching to read.
"I first explored Bali on a solo trip around the world in 1991. Bali captured my heart and spirit instantly! Enchanted by the rich, ornate architecture, kind hearts of the Balinese and the deeply spiritual energy that resonates on the island, I knew I had discovered a treasure. I was invited to ceremonies, received massages on the beach, took a painting class, explored temples and wandered through terraced rice paddies. It was AMAZING!!!!!!
"The magic of the island lingered in my heart until I was able to return several years ago. The trip was a confirmation of what I had remembered. Captivating, charming, mysterious, and ALIVE! To be able to share this fascinating country with you is such a treat! I look forward to seeing your world open up to Bali’s alluring soul!"
